Dipo, is a Nigerian/Canadian singer/Songwriter who started music professionally in 2009 with the release of self-titled EP which was later merged with other singles to make up his “Lagos to Toronto” album compilation.

His most acclaimed song “be your man” which is a soulful/afro/jazzy tune placed him in a unique place all by himself. He went on to perform on big stages alongside Nigeria’s finest like 2face idibia, D’banj, Wande Coal, also opened for Nigeria’s biggest alternative singer “Asa” at her “Asa on the green” concert.

In Canada, he has played shows in some of Toronto’s most popular venues such as The Mod Club, The supermarket and Revival Bar.

From his breakthrough track “Be Your Man”, released back in 2010 to his recently released “New Vintage” EP’, Dipo has been perfecting his craft, elevating with each release.

Inspired by soul legends Al Green, Stevie Wonder, Teddy Pendagras and Afro-beat legend Fela Kuti, it is no surprise Dipo has a nostalgic imprint in his sound. A standout vocalist, his effortless and elegant sound is guaranteed to warrant attention.
